Have to re-load EQ need some help PLZ

Hello all.

Remmi/Getofmefoot here.
Well I have been absent from the game as my laptop has been corrupted by spyware. I have to get a Restore CD sent from my laptop manufactures, hoping it arrives early today. Will need to download all my settings and software again.
This brings me to a question about re-loading EQ. I am not sure exactly what Eq expasion cd's I have to reload and I know my I do not have my Oow cd anymore.
I know there is some free downloads now like EQ Trilogy, if I was to down load this would I be able to just loggin to my account and have all the my expansions already loaded still rdy to go?? Am scrambling through old cd's here to see if I cant find some of my EQ cd's

If anyone could offer any help I would be very Thankfull.

you alrdy have the expansion right is it possible for you to just download what exspansion you don't have. Just wondering if it works just let me know and if it don't work muyah told ya do to it not me hehehheheeheheheheh jking

Corrupted by spyware to the extent you had to recover the system? Ack ! ummm, hate to say it but I do not think Luclin is a download, but I could be wrong, ask the live chat support people, they will know, look hard for that disk, LOL

Now, as to the spyware issue, at www.majorgeeks.com look under spyware tools and look for the following programs, Spybot Search and Destroy 1.3 and Adaware SE these 2 programs are both free, updatable, and both are excelent at finding and removing spyware, you DO NEED BOTH as each will find stuff the other misses, WARNING going download crazy at majorgeeks can lead to unfortunate results, unless you know what you are doing and/or are willing to take a risk just get what I tell you to get [img]tongue.gif[/img] heh

Okies, thats it for my advice rant hehe hope FedEx arrives with your software and we see you back in game soon. Oh yes, I do strongly reccomend updating your antivirus and spyware programs on a daily basis, run the two spyware prog regularly, I usually run them daily myself just to be paranoid LOL

I mite be wrong, Remmi, but I think as long as u log in on an active account, u will get all ur expansions downloaded if they are missing. It mite take awhile, but anywho that's what I think.

On a similar thought, I tried to use MY software on wifey's PC to get her started on EQ and Sony would not let me. Said I already had an account. So I had to buy a completly new set of software (with expansions) to get her up and running with her own account.

I have found my Trilogy, Planes of Power and Gates of Discord CD's. Do not have Luclin or Omens here though. Still waitin on Fed Ex to get here so I can get my laptop up and running to dowmload EQ.

Hello all. I recently reformatted my drive, as is custom for me to do every year. I couldnt find my original, kunark, scars of velious cds all i have is shadows of luclin and planes of power.

Basically all you do is install any single expansion you have. Then go to your everquest folder and click the everquest icon. The patcher will patch itself then patch the game. Once it is done go to advanced, and check the boxes next to the expansion names. Then click ok, and the play button will turn into a download button.

Checking the box next to the expansion name WILL download the entire expansion if you do not have it installed.

It will take a while depending on your connection speed. For me, i installed shadows of luclin, and downloaded the rest of the expansions in about 4 hours.

Sony doesnt mind giving you the software for free, its the Cd key that you pay for. Once you use it, it is bound to your account. So if you have activated it on your account before.. all you need to do (once you download the expansions) is log on and youll be able to play like before.

The only other time you need to worry about buying another copy of the game is when you want/need another account. And even then all youre paying for is the cd keys.

Random post for fun but I don't think I'll be running into this problem any time soon, I have various copies of each expansion except OoW atm due to having 4 different accounts. Yah I'm well stocked in back up for me but nice to know if I ever need it its sitting there. Smartest thing I've heard of Sony doing this week even if the feature has been there for a long time. Anyways yah I was bored and felt like posting something
